Daniel has done it again!

We almost did not make the submission for the Food Producers Awards and are thrilled that we did!

We teamed up with Emporium Breweries and washed the Laugesen in their beer and spent grain and then aged it for 8 weeks.

A buttery interior with a bready/farmyard flavour profile. Amazing with pickles, potatoes, tomatoes and your favourite beverage.

We will let the judges do the talking, and here is what they have to say:

KAIKOURA CHEESE - Laugesen (Semi-soft Jersey cow milk cheese washed in local brewer’s beer)

Award: GOLD

Judges’ comments : Interesting rind and appearance. Appealing texture. Moreish. Funky look is a departure
from the norm.

Sustainable judges feedback: Environment - good product stewardship initiative, reduce waste where
possible, low energy.

Social - more on local and community work would be good.
